Child Safe Environments Policy

Child Safe Environment Policy. The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child outline that children and young people have a right to be safe and cared for, no matter where they are or who they are with. Working with Children and Young People 
Code of Conduct

The core principles in this code are based on the fundamental and overarching values of New Start Counselling and Psychotherapy. They act to guide decision making in relation to ethical responsibilities. These core principles require a commitment to respect and maintain the rights and dignity of children, families, colleagues and communities. To view our code of conduct please click here

Complaint Processes

If ever you have a complaint or concern about any of New Start Counselling and Psychotherapy's services or you feel there has been a breach to our code of conduct/ethics we encourage you to use our feedback form and let us know as soon as possible. Feedback Form 

At New Start Counselling and Psychotherapy we welcome and value your feedback. This form allows you an opportunity to provide feedback to your counsellor or to New Start Counselling and Psychotherapy after a counselling session, or after any interactions with New Start Counselling and Psychotherapy. This will help your counsellor’s professional development, as well as help, improve the service offered through New Start Counselling and Psychotherapy Your feedback is important to us, and we will take it seriously. Australian Counselling Association Code of Ethics and Practice

Membership of the ACA (Inc) commits members to adhere to the ACA (Inc) Code of Ethics and Practice. The Code of Ethics and Practice applies to counsellors work related activities. It includes the clinical or counselling practice as well as research, teaching, supervision of trainees and other activities that relate to the overall general training and employment of the counselling profession.
