Supportive Counselling for Women
You dont need to have all this figured out before you start
How I will work with you
Counselling at New Start Counselling and Psychotherapy is not clinical, rushed, or prescriptive. It’s a calm, respectful space where women can slow down, speak honestly, and begin to make sense of what life looks like now.

I work relationally and at your pace, drawing on professional training alongside lived experience of many of life's challenges, including chronic illness, identity loss, and life transitions.
You are not here to be fixed; you are here to be understood. We work the healing out together.
I support women navigating the grief and uncertainty that comes with:
-
Life transitions and identity shifts
-
Chronic illness and disability
-
Emotional exhaustion and burnout
-
Caregiving roles and boundary fatigue
-
Grief, loss, and “who am I now?” moments
Sessions are conversational, grounded, and collaborative, not diagnostic or overly clinical.

What I can help you with
Ways to Work with Me
Individual Counselling
For women seeking emotional support, clarity, and self-understanding.
Sessions are 50 minutes and tailored to what you need in the moment.
Face to Face-to-face sessions are very welcome, as are Telehealth and Telephone sessions. My Counselling is accessible to everyone, wherever you may be in Australia. I want to make this work for you.
NDIS Capacity Building -Improved Daily Living
For NDIS participants seeking practical and emotional support to strengthen everyday functioning and wellbeing.
Under the NDIS, counselling is accessed as a capacity-building support, rather than clinical therapy. My work is delivered under:
Line Item: 15_043_0128_1_3 – Counsellor
Category: Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living
This means support is focused on building skills, confidence, emotional regulation, and day-to-day capacity — aligned with your NDIS goals.

If you are self-managed or plan-managed, you can usually begin sessions straight away. Your support coordinator can confirm whether your plan includes capacity-building funding.

If you’re feeling unsure or overwhelmed by NDIS language or funding rules, you’re not alone. You’re very welcome to reach out. I’m happy to talk things through and help you understand your options.

If you are preparing for a plan review or application and would like to access my services, I can provide a professional support letter outlining how this support assists with everyday functioning, emotional well-being, and participation.
