Psychosocial Recovery Coaching
NDIS Support with Real-World Insight

What is a Psychosocial Recovery Coach?

A Psychosocial Recovery Coach (PRC) is an NDIS-funded support designed specifically for people living with psychosocial disability, usually the result of complex mental health conditions. As your Psychosocial Recovery Coach, I help you build skills, confidence, and independence, so you can live a more connected and meaningful life.

Think of recovery coaching as a bridge between therapy and everyday living. It’s about helping you turn your goals, needs, and supports into a real-life plan you can use, and my role is to walk beside you while you work toward those goals.

How Psychosocial Recovery Coaching Works

If you have psychosocial disability and an NDIS plan with Recovery Coaching funding,

I can work with you to:

  • Understand your NDIS plan and make it work for you

  • Coordinate with therapists, supports, and service providers

  • Create a strengths-based recovery plan based on your goals

  • Build independence, confidence, and emotional resilience

  • Support you in navigating setbacks and celebrating wins

  • Link you with community supports, housing, employment, or programs

  • Check in regularly because consistency matters

As a Psychosocial Recovery Coach, I provide mentoring, planning, and practical support, all while holding space for what you're going through. This is not case management. It’s collaborative, flexible, and built around you.

How is Recovery Coaching Different from Counselling?

Great question, while they complement each other, Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and Counselling are not the same.

As someone trained in both, I can help you figure out which is best for where you are at, and many clients choose to do both.

Why Work With Me as Your Recovery Coach?

I bring more than professional training, I bring lived experience. Living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), I know firsthand what it’s like to lose independence, navigate unpredictable symptoms, and redefine who you are through a diagnosis.

I have also worked through significant mental health challenges of my own and come through stronger, more self-aware, and grounded. This allows me to meet you where you’re at, with no judgment, no pressure, and no “fixing" it for you; we do it together—just real, honest support.

Clients tell me they feel seen, understood, and encouraged, even on the hard days.

How We Work Together

You can work with me as your Psychosocial Recovery Coach if:

  • You have an NDIS plan with Psychosocial Recovery Coaching funding

  • You are self-managed or plan-managed (I currently do not work with NDIA-managed plans)

  • You live in South Australia, or are open to telehealth/phone-based support anywhere in Australia

Sessions are flexible; we can meet via phone, Zoom, or in-person (Seaton and surrounds), and I am always happy to collaborate with your support coordinator or existing team.

Not Sure if You Have PRC Funding?

You can check your plan under 'Capacity Building – Support Coordination – Psychosocial Recovery Coaching'. If you are still unsure, I am happy to help you look through your plan or speak with your support coordinator.
